Stunning TOFU KATSU🔥
- 400 g tofu - 2 cups cornflakes (I used gf) - 1 tsp salt - 1/4 cup flour (I used gf) - 1 tsp ground flaxseeds - 1/2 tsp garlic powder - 1/2 tsp paprika - 1/2 tsp salt - 1/2 cup plant based milk (or water) INSTRUCTIONS: Freeze the tofu at least an hour ahead of time for a better texture (optional). Cut it into 1/2 inch pieces, top with a towel / paper towel, a baking sheet and a few books for 10 minutes to remove any excess moisture. Meanwhile, blend the cornflakes and salt until reach Panko breadcrumbs texture. Transfer into a bowl. In a separate bowl stir flour, spices and milk to create the wet batter. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan. Dip each tofu piece in the wet batter, then into the breadcrumbs and fry on both sides until golden and crispy. I served it with sush
